The Royal Norwegian Airforce website mentions North Weald

The website of the Royal Norwegian Airforce makes several mentions of North Weald. Here are two particularly interesting articles:

The 60th anniversary of the establishment of 132 (Norwegian) Squadron at North Weald article in English (translated by Google) and the original article in Norwegian.

Norwegian Air force in North Weald during 1940's

My late parents who lived in Chelmsford Essex, befriended a young Norwegian Airforce man who visited our home whilst he was stationed there. He was moved to Canada (I think) but continued to write to my parents. Quite suddenly the correspondence ceased and we always wondered if he had been killed. My parents are now dead, but I often wonder what happened to Lars Sleet. Hope I got the name correct.
